The winter season is a time for celebrating and spending time with loved ones, but we should not forget to take care of ourselves as well. It is easy to get caught up in the busy world that surrounds us. Here are some tips to remember ways to help you stay healthy during the busy holiday season.

  • Happiness: Set realistic goals for the holiday season
  • Openness: Try new things, think about changing some of your holiday routines, perhaps by simplifying some of your traditions
  • Activity: Walk around the mall, go for a family walk, or go to the park and play
  • Illness Prevention: The weather is colder so you are probably spend more time indoors, being exposed to more people, and have increased stress levels during the holiday seasons. All of this can put you at a higher risk for colds or the flu. Make sure you wash your hands frequently, get plenty of sleep, and reduce stress levels
  • Time Management: Have priorities and plan ahead. Try to minimize big tasks by breaking them down into smaller tasks. Remember it is okay to say no.
